BALLROOM DANCING

Don’t sit this one out!  Gain the confidence and skill you need to feel comfortable on the dance floor for any occasion.  Ballroom dancing is also a great exercise and social asset.

INTRODUCTION TO PIANO-ADULTS/SENIORS

This course will be divided into two groups.  For the beginners rhythm and note reading will be taught.  It is not necessary for the student to be able to read music – this skill will be taught.  The intermediate students will continue to work separately on their skill under the direction of Mrs. Morey.

DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHY

Learn the fundamentals of Digital Photography by understanding how and what your camera is capable of and how you will use available light to paint your photograph.  There will be a minimum of 6 assignments, in which the class will help critique.  You will learn to use Free online photo imaging software to help edit and enhance your photographs with powerful tools.  Bring your digital camera, its manual, USB cable, a flash drive and a blank memory card (at least 1.0 GB) pen, paper and your imagination!                                  Class is limited to 10 people.

FUNDAMENTALS OF BRIDGE @BBCC

Shuffle, deal & PLAY! Supervised play for beginners and novices. Half hour mini lesson then play real hands. You can ask questions as you play! Come alone or bring a partner.

UKULELE FOR BEGINNERS

How about the ukulele?  The 'uke' has been around for more than 100 years, but recently it is enjoying a worldwide revival thanks to artists like Israel Kamakawiwo'ole, Jack Johnson, Jake Shimabukuro and Train.  We will be learning basic chords and strums, and then playing songs ranging from the 'classics', to the Beatle's to contemporary acoustic favorites.  You will need your own ukulele.  We will provide the music.   Class is limited to 10 people.

CPR

The AHA Heart Saver AED Course teaches Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), Automated External Defibrillator (AED) use, mouth to mouth and barrier device resuscitation, relief of choking, for adults, children and infants.  The course is designed for those who may respond to a family member or community emergency.  The course is approximately 4 hours over a two day span.  There is a skills evaluation at the end of the course.  Upon completion of the course the participants receive a Heart saver AED Course Completion Card from the AHA.  This course is not a Healthcare Provider CPR course.  This course teaches the new 2005 Standards of CPR and AED use.  Class is limited to 12 people.
